14 Nov: All sealed boxes containing ballot papers and other documents used in the General Election on 7 May 2011 had been sent for destruction by incineration on 12 November 2011. The entire proceedings was witnessed by the Returning Officer and candidates of the General Election.

» The restoration of non-voters’ names to the Registers of Electors will close once the Writ of Election is issued for future elections. Non-voters who failed to vote during the Presidential Election 2011 or any previous election are encouraged to restore their names to the Registers of Electors now.

Non-voters may apply to have their names restored to the Registers of Electors using one of the following methods:-
  • Online application via eServices.
  • Submission of hard copy application form. The hardcopy form can be obtained from the Elections Department or any community centre/club during normal business hours, or downloaded here. The duly completed forms should be submitted, by post or fax or by hand, to the Registration Officer, Elections Department at 11 Prinsep Link, Singapore 187949, fax number 63362006.
